Eco Cruise

Cape Fear Naturalist, Wilmington's Local Conservation Advocacy Group, is proud to announce the advent of a new series of nature programs focused on understanding the Unique Ecosystems of Southeastern North Carolina. Trip destinations will include: the Green swamp (carnivorous plant id), Town Creek (Black Water Cypress), Mansonboro Island, Hutaff Island and Battery Island (Shorebird Ecology and ID) The program goal is to raise local conservation awareness about these sensitive habitats and wildlife that occur in the Cape Fear Watershed.

Open Eco- Cruises

Come join us while we explore wonder of Cape Fear's local barrier islands, creeks, river, and inlet waterways. Eco-Cruise tours will begin Sun February 26, last two hours in duration, and be aboard a specially rigged 26ft catamaran boat. Trips will leave from Blockade Runner in Wrightsville Beach. Eco-Cruises are appropriate for individuals, couples, families and the like.

Open Eco-Cruises, we ask the following donation:
$35 per adult
$15 per child ages 4-12

Chartered Eco-Cruises

In addition, CFN will offer Chartered Eco Cruises that engage the entire boat for your class, club, scout group, etc.Charters can be booked for any date or time from the beginning of March through the end of September based on availability.

We ask the following donations:
$350.00 per boat for adult groups/ family events (15 participants max)
$300.00 per boat for school/Scout groups (15-17 participants max)
$400.00 per boat for a combination Program (school field trip including shore side activity for up to 25 students and adults lasting up to three hours in duration)

Kayak Tours

CFN will offer daily Kayak Eco- tours of Wrightsville Beach and Town Creek. Tours will include: Kayak (single or Tandem), trained Kayak instructors, and last two hours in duration.

We ask the following for donation:
$15 per child
$35 per adult
